the shop located adjoining thorp s buildings in macrossan street close commercial centre of ravenswood. located in mining landscape consists of disturbed ground scattered ruins , mullock heaps, set amongst distinctive chinkee apple trees , rubber vines.


it single storey brick commercial building housing 2 stores plate glass display windows , central entrance recessed timber doors. has pitched roof clad corrugated iron , concealed ornate rendered parapet has raised section in centre topped urn within hollow arch, echoing central arch motif on imperial hotel , browne s buildings opposite. flanked urns @ each end of parapet, although 1 of these has been lost. awning supported plain timber posts shades footpath @ front of store , decorated sawn timber valance. detail intact.
