jones at&t stadium serves home red raiders football team. stadium, named clifford b. , audrey jones, opened in 1947. in 2000, stadium renamed jones sbc stadium after sbc communications made $30 million contribution university. following sbc communications acquisition of at&t corporation in 2006, stadium renamed jones at&t stadium. stadium s original seating capacity 27,000, expanded in 1959, 1972, 2003, 2005, 2009, 2010, , 2013 current capacity of 60,862. overall, 1999 2009 school spent more $84 million ongoing renovation , expansion stadium , football program.


in january 2013, construction began adding 368 seats in north endzone, in addition observation deck hold 40. $11 million project includes upgraded jumbotron new sound system, spanish renaissance-themed colonnade, , new north end zone concourse connecting 2 stadium halves. along other additions, 157 feet of ribbon board added on north end zone, more 160 linear feet in northeast , northwest corners of stadium, , 94 linear feet in south end zone on athletic offices. of new features of jones at&t stadium unveiled on september 7, 2013 .


since 1999, home basketball games have been played @ united supermarkets arena (originally united spirit arena), 15,020-seat multi-purpose facility cost $62 million build. in addition serving home men s , women s basketball teams, arena used red raiders volleyball team.
