wong attended chong hwa independent high school, kuala lumpur. obtained bachelor of arts in accounting , finance lancaster university management school. wong practised accounting briefly in united kingdom before returning malaysia joined manufacturing company.

wong founded asia media in 2007. under leadership, asia media has grown media company reaches on 1.24 million viewers daily. company owns , operates largest transit-tv network in malaysia known asia media tv (amtv). asia media first malaysian company awarded 10-year licenses operate 3 (3) blocks of l-band spectrums both fixed , mobile broadcasting. licenses cover both free , paid broadcasting models. company opted dmb-t technology mobile tv application.
