the 2007 season marked second year of current television contracts nbc, cbs, fox, espn, , nfl network. pre-game shows made changes, former steelers coach bill cowher joining host james brown, boomer esiason, shannon sharpe , dan marino on cbs s nfl today. on fox, after 1 season on road, fox nfl sunday returned los angeles curt menefee took on full-time host. chris rose, had been doing in-game updates of other nfl games, reverted part-time play-by-play role.

the biggest changes @ nbc , espn. michael irvin s contract espn not renewed, , former coach bill parcells returned network after 4 years cowboys head coach. parcells left before season ended become miami dolphins vp of player personnel. pair of former cowboys, emmitt smith , keyshawn johnson provided roles in studio sunday nfl countdown , monday night countdown. @ monday night football, joe theismann dropped (and later resign network) after seventeen years in booth between sunday , monday night packages, , former philadelphia eagles quarterback , current philadelphia soul (afl) president ron jaworski took place alongside mike tirico , tony kornheiser. part of reason jaworski replaced theismann because of chemistry kornheiser on pardon interruption, jaworski frequent guest during football season.
