the league consists in 2 groups (tenerife & gran canaria) of 18 teams each one. @ end of season, champion of each group promoted directly group xii of tercera división , runners-up play playoff promotion. last 4 teams in gran canaria group , last 3 in tenerife group relegated primera categoría.
