the sacramento legislative seminar longstanding program in loyola marymount university’s political science department. program offered, not limited, students enrolled in politics of california course held during spring semester. purpose of sacramento seminar provide undergraduate students various california institutions hands-on exposure california s political system. during seminar, students participate in panel discussions held in california state capitol, engage in political discourse prominent government officials, legislators, lobbyists, fellows, , scholars across state. panel discussions give students opportunity ask these distinguished guests questions pertaining variety of topics. throughout seminar, students encouraged introduce , meet public officials , staff seek personal career advice. center plays significant role in organizing , coordinating sacramento seminar both students , professors attend annually.
