in greyshinne, party heads amaidar temple (ラマだ寺, ramada temple). archmonk of temple instructs monk, iga, deal arc. party pleads iga until gogen suggests , arc duel in order gain permission access mountain. after arc wins, iga , party speak archmonk. kukuru senses magic mirror archmonk monster, causes archmonk flee fighting grounds. arc , team give chase , defeat archmonk. on mt. amaidar, earth guardian gives them earth stone. when return temple, iga asks them if may them in quest.
in niedel, party hears tournament being held winner wins wind orb. believing related wind guardian, 1 member of party enlists in tournament. once person wins tournament, party discovers winners of each tournament later killed organizers can retain wind orb. after defeating crooked announcer, party frees wind guardian wind orb , received wind stone.
the water guardian lies in zariban, desert land once fertile rendered arid over-processing of energy stones. party meet clansman of saryu tribe yoshua s request leads them village. village destroyed attack kasadoll, general , ruler of zariban. after water guardian , destroyed village saryu tribe holding key entering water shrine. manage defeat him , gain water stone. stone, ve learned last guardian in seirya.
when group returns palencia, find police state run andel. sneaking castle basement, find fire guardian held captive under andel s command energy experimentations. free fire guardian, after convincing, grants them fire stone. however, dying engineer set basement , castle above self-destruct. find king, dying andel flees. king tells them andel sent romalia gain control of seirya retrieve ark romalia s plans of world conquest. after confessing regrets nephew having stolen crown , throne yoshua, king dies, , group escapes on silver noah before explosion brought out whole castle.

as party leaves, andel appears , seizes ark. arc , party forced captured andel revealed s holding arc s people captive, including mother. ground begins split , falls turns sabatico shrine emerges high ground; group use quake escape andel s guards. gogen tells them shrine has appeared seal against dark one, world s entity of darkness, grows weaker. arc tells kukuru go sabatico shrine, has power strengthen seal last means of protection dark one. rest of party return silver noah set off , kukuru watches them fly away continue mission of saving world.
setting
this game intentionally designed short. therefore, in first game, continents of seirya, millmana, alatos, zariban, , niedel accessible. in arc lad ii, towns of these areas, fields, dungeons, etc. accessible. also, new continents accessible in arc lad ii. in terms of time, game begins 10 years after yoshua s departure, , years after opening sequence in arc lad ii, before actual storyline of arc ii.
