william j. ruckelshaus appointed ceo in november 2010 after serving board member since may 2007. in january 2012, company acquired taxact, , differentiate name new purchase, , of infospace search unit, rebranded name blucora, , nasdaq ticker symbol changed bcor on june 7, 2012.
