pradeep mathur, born on 17 august 1955 in teheran damyanti , amrit dayal, did graduate studies (honours) @ university of north london in 1976 , secured phd keele university in 1981 before moving join yale university research associate completing post-doctoral studies. returning india, joined indian institute of technology, mumbai in 1984 member of faculty of chemistry held several positions before reaching position of professor , head of national single crystal x-ray diffraction facility. when indian institute of technology, indore established in 2009, mathur appointed founder director. @ end of first five-year term, contract extended second term , continues hold position, simultaneously serving professor of department of chemistry. has been visiting professor @ university of cambridge, university of freiburg , university of karlsruhe , has been associated number of scientific journals, viz. organometallics, journal of organometallic chemistry , journal of cluster science member of editorial boards.


mathur married vinita , couple have 2 daughters, nehika , saloni.
