meuse s fan base known meuse mafia. has jokingly referred experience on show being hunger games, , in 1 episode, braided hair in same style katniss everdeen. several reviewers , journalists felt meuse unfairly treated show, such michael slezak of tvline, wrote judges blatantly not rooting @ all. lyndsey parker of yahoo! music concurred, writing seemed judges , producers doing best meuse eliminated competition. parker further wrote meuse received harsh critique praise-worthy performances, judges overlooked significant flaws in other contestants. buddytv writer jeff dodge felt meuse being held unfair double standard. writing tv guide, liz raftery assessed fan opinion being frustrat[ed] judges, on poor treatment of meuse.


meuse never among bottom 3 , until top 7 week, when bottom 2 composed of , eliminated contestant, dexter roberts. following week, meuse again in bottom 2 , cj harris eliminated. there no bottom 2 top 5 week. contestants offered choice - if agreed unanimously, week s results discarded , 5 of them move on perform again. 2 of them eliminated following week. although meuse voted in favor of idea, alex preston , jena irene opposed it, , sam woolf eliminated. meuse herself eliminated following week. came in fourth place , reprised blue eyed lie exit song.




2014-present

meuse returned american idol stage season 13 finale, performed jennifer nettles. performed part of american idol summer tour, began on june 24, 2014 , went through august 23. since then, has held several shows in alabama , georgia, 1 in los angeles. continues reside in slapout, alabama. however, has stated intentions of possibly moving los angeles.


her debut single, done, released independently on april 21, 2015. on january 5, 2016, released second single, rio grande.
