the surface assault , training group (satg) provides marine corps maritime vessels. surface assault , training group consists of 241 men; besides staff fields amphibious support group, landing craft utility (lcu) troop, landing craft vehicle personnel (lcvp) troop, fast raiding interception , special forces craft (frisc) squadron, landing craft control team light , landing craft control team heavy. amphibious support group provides logistical support satg. lcu troop fields 5 landing craft utility crews, while lcvp troop fields 12 lcvps crews.


the frisc squadron fields 3 troops: troop raiding crafts marine combat groups, troop maritime counter terrorism crafts (mct) maritime counter terrorism squadron , troop special operation , interceptor crafts conventional squadron of maritime special operations forces. 2 landing craft control teams consist of staff, beach recce group, beach control group , heavy vehicle group. landing craft control team heavy equipped leopard 1 barv beach armoured recovery vehicles. both beach recce groups field team of divers clear mines, barriers , other obstacles landing beaches.
