after learning of devastation of skrull fleet , takeover of hala inhumans, vulcan launches surprise attack on kree, ruled black bolt , inhuman population of attilan. imperial guard retrieves lilandra, whom vulcan plans execute. however, stopped 1 of admirals, stating doing make martyr , incite factions loyal overthrow him around similar figurehead. abducts adam warlock , attacks him.


soon enough, lilandra assassinated in attempt usurp vulcan. immediately, civil war ignites in imperium between factions loyal , vulcan. though advised fraternity of raptors , admirals sue peace , return planets restore order, vulcan refuses listen , flies off engage inhumans. finds black bolt t-bomb. believing inhuman intends destroy empire, vulcan engages silent king. both apparently die in resulting explosion tears hole in fabric of space , time. gladiator takes vulcan s place majestor of shi ar. revelation black bolt did not die instead trapped in fault, vulcan s fate remains unknown.
