he created lightweight markup language called haml intended radically different design inline page templating systems eruby in ruby. since initial release in 2006, haml has been in constant development , has been ported on 10 other languages. s second popular templating language ruby on rails framework , has inspired many other templating languages.


sass

in 2007, catlin created style sheet language expand on cascading style sheets (css), used describe presentation semantics of web pages. catlin continued work on sass co-designer natalie weizenbaum through 2008. sass bundled part of rails.


in 2011, co-wrote husband book pragmatic guide sass , published through pragmatic bookshelf.


wikipedia mobile

catlin wrote several applications ios , other mobile platforms, including dictionary!, popular dictionary application, , wikipedia browsing client later purchased wikimedia foundation. subsequently hired wikimedia , given role mobile development lead foundation, launching official mobile website in june 2009. backend site developed using ruby , merb framework.
