on 17 january 2006, second preliminary injunction court in berlin prohibited wikimedia deutschland e.v. local chapter linking german wikipedia, resulting in change of wikipedia.de address link german wikipedia page explaining situation, although page did not mention tron. despite media reports contrary, german wikipedia never closed or made inaccessible in germany. wikimedia deutschland e.v. confirmed internet news site golem.de new injunction related prior case against wikimedia foundation , issued on behalf of same plaintiffs. wikimedia deutschland e.v. reported intending fight injunction, arguing no valid case presented , freedom of press must defended.


as müller-maguhn, 1 of spokespersons of chaos computer club, involved in case on side of plaintiffs, media reported case of chaos computer club against wikipedia. chaos computer club had issued public statement case between few of members , wikipedia, , ccc did not take position in matter.


the austrian online magazine futurezone interviewed andy müller-maguhn on 19 january 2006 case , background. maguhn admitted true reason behind incident fictitious work published german author in main character had same (civil) name floricic. parents sent protest publisher turned down argument german wikipedia using name well. müller-maguhn asked german wikipedia remove name, turned down number of reasons, including failure present proof entitled speak , act on behalf of parents.


on 9 february 2006, injunction against wikimedia deutschland overturned. plaintiffs appealed berlin state court, turned down in may 2006.
