this elevated station, opened december 29, 1916, has 3 tracks , 2 side platforms. center express track not used. station has 4 stairs street , 1 mezzanine each platform. has been adopted students of lafayette high school part of new york city transit s adopt station program.


in 2012, station rehabilitated funding american recovery , reinvestment act of 2009. 4 laminated glass windscreens artist amy cheng, commissioned mta arts transit program, installed in july 2012. windscreens fabricated depp glass, based in long island city, queens.

the station s exits mezzanine beneath tracks. there, stairways lead 4 corners of 86th street , 25th avenue.
