the pakistani literature, both in english , urdu, popular in russia. many of faiz ahmad faiz s drama work, poetry, , literature work has been translated in russian language. lenin peace prize, soviet equivalent of nobel peace prize, helped lift faiz s image higher in international community. russian government honored faiz 1 of prestigious award, lenin prize, , russian government dubed him our poet after death.


the dramatist , playwright, anwar maqsood s work has been received in russia , majority of dramas have been translated , opted in russian dramas , writes. russian writer, anton chekhov, celebrated in pakistan. karachi university has karachi russian culture centre dedicated various russian writers. in 2010, punjab university laid foundation of russian cultural centre in lahore well. in 2010, russian culture centre in karachi in collaboration national academy of performing arts staged chekhov s play proposal @ occasion.
