little sahara 1 of popular locations in state all-terrain vehicle (atv) riding. riders can enjoy riding on 60,000 acres (240 km) of sand dunes, trails , sage brush flats. within sand hills sand mountain, 700–800-foot (210–240 m) wall of sand challenges experienced riders , capable machines. visitors can enjoy camping, hiking , 2 of world s biggest sand boxes areas of dunes fenced off vehicle , horseback riders. though there many campsites excellent tent camping, use of recreational vehicles , camp trailers popular. area sees highest number of visitors on holiday weekends spring fall.
