the primary highway running through pikeville u.s. route 127, connects city crossville atop plateau north , dunlap south. in pikeville, us-127 splits, main route running along main street through city s business district , courthouse square, , bypass running through newer commercial area in western part of city. state route 30, connects pikeville spencer , fall creek falls state park area atop plateau west , dayton across plateau east, runs congruent us-127 through of city.


according united states census bureau, city has total area of 2.4 square miles (6.2 km), land.
