while mountains dip gradually away north , south, form steep slope in west red main forms boundary of mountains.


the ochsenkopf ( ox head ) second highest mountain of fichtel range, @ 1,024 metres (3,360 ft). there 2 chair-lifts summit, 1 bischofsgrün in north , 1 fleckl in south. asenturm (Æsir tower) observation tower on summit restaurant attached.
