gaboury designed wall surrounds sculptor marcien lemay s depiction of canadian métis leader louis riel naked , tortured figure. statue unveiled in 1970 , stood on grounds of legislative assembly of manitoba 23 years. statue later moved grounds of collège universitaire de saint-boniface.
