a wing half, sneddon began career in junior football wishaw juniors , rutherglen glencairn. began senior career scottish league division 1 club falkirk in december 1935, making 36 league appearances , scoring 8 goals before departing in june 1937.


brentford

sneddon moved england join division 1 side brentford in £4,000 deal prior start of 1937–38 season, replacement welsh international dai richards. established himself in side, making 44 appearances during season. sneddon found game-time harder come during 1938–39 season, making 27 appearances , scoring 2 goals. left griffin park @ end of campaign, having made 70 appearances , scored 2 goals in 2 seasons bees.


swansea town

sneddon , brentford teammate sam briddon moved wales sign division 2 club swansea town in july 1939 in then-club record £2,000 deal. outbreak of second world war 2 months later put sneddon s professional career on hold, though continue represent swans during war. after cessation of hostilities in 1945, sneddon made 2 competitive appearances before leaving in november 1946.


wartime guest appearances

sneddon played guest scottish clubs ayr united , hamilton academical guest during second world war. memorable spell came return brentford, helping club win 1941–42 london war cup. returned again during 1942–43 season.


newport county

sneddon joined division 2 side newport county in november 1946, making 18 league appearances during 1946–47 season before departing @ end of campaign.


milford united

sneddon saw out career spell @ welsh league side milford united.
