president donald trump signed executive order 13769 on january 27, 2017, banned entry united states ninety days non-citizens , refugees 7 middle eastern countries. on january 30, ferguson , governor jay inslee announced state file legal challenge against president trump, relevant administrative secretaries, overturn order, arguing case of religious discrimination.


ferguson filed suit within 72 hours, statements of support washington-based companies, including amazon , microsoft. in united states district court western district of washington on february 3, 2017, u.s. district judge james l. robart ruled in ferguson s favor temporary restraining order on enforcement of travel ban nationwide.
